Beyoncé is far more than an international superstar. When she’s not busy churning out award-winning albums or performing high-intensity, sold-out performances that are experiences of a lifetime for her fans, she’s engaging in some serious philanthropy.

When I say, this woman has no qualms when it comes to sharing her hard-earned dough with the rest of the world, I mean it. (*Sigh* And just when we thought Bey couldn’t possibly be any more synonymous with human perfection.)

The ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ singer is no stranger when it comes to charity work

Queen Bee has always been extremely giving behind the scenes, whether it’s helping families devastated by hurricanes in Houston to donating musical proceeds to COVID-19 charities. In 2020, the “Drunk in Love” crooner teamed up with Megan Thee Stallion to donate all the proceeds of their “Savage Remix” hit track to Coronavirus relief efforts. The same can be said about Bey’s “Mi Gente remix” banger – all proceeds were given to hurricane relief foundations in the Caribbean Islands. (Can this woman be any more of an angel?)

Yet Beyoncé’s most prominent philanthropy work is through her BeyGOOD foundation, which the mega-star founded back in 2013. By offering relief grants, mentorship programs, and educational resources, the BeyGOOD foundation has transformed millions of lives across the globe for a brighter and better tomorrow.

Through the various grants and programs offered by Beyoncé’s charity, her organization is one step closer to achieving their goal of economic equality between people of all races, genders, ethnicities, and social classes.

So let’s dive into the specific opportunities, grants, and resources the “CUFF IT” crooner provides via BeyGOOD. What are the main focuses here? And how can you get involved?

BeyGOOD’s Educational Resources

Casual Beyoncé fans may view the musical sensation as all glitz and glam. Sure, she’s got out-of-this-world pipes that captivate the entire planet… but does she have the depth and substance to back it up?

But it’s only those who consider themselves “true fans” of the BeyHIVE who know just how selfless the “Pretty Hurts” singer is when it comes to giving back to her community. It’s pretty inspirational how generous Beyoncé is in regards to doling out grants, scholarships, financial aid, and educational resources from left to right.

The BeyGOOD foundation partners with United Negro College Fund (UNCF) to help people of color who are in need of assistance when attending college and universities.

BeyGOOD also strives to provide for individuals who come from underprivileged backgrounds and communities who might not otherwise have the opportunity to attend an undergrad program. In the words of Beyoncé herself, let’s raise our glass to the college grads!

BeyGOOD Pairs With Tiffany & Co. On ‘About Love’ Scholarship

Back in 2021, The “Don’t Hurt Yourself” singer teamed up with Tiffany & Co – along with hubby Jay-Z – to offer scholarships for students at historically black colleges and universities. Contributing to the About Love Scholarship Program – via BeyGOOD and Shawn Carter Foundation –  the iconic jewelry store (and The Carters) pledged $2 million to university students – especially those involved in the arts.

Considering Beyoncé got her formal education in performing arts schools, it’s understandable that the international mega-star would want to give back to the communities that shaped her into the Grammy-snagging powerhouse she is today.

Who knows? The next Beyoncé could be sitting at the table next to you in Starbucks… With the help of BeyGOOD, talented people from different economic, racial, and social backgrounds can access the artistic education necessary in order to find out.

Beyoncé’s charity foundation funds small businesses

BeyGOOD cares deeply about supporting small businesses throughout the world – particularly black-owned businesses. In today’s brutal economy, it’s more important than ever for small businesses to receive the support they need to survive and thrive. By championing small businesses – rather than promoting large chains with unlimited resources – BeyGOOD recognizes the unique value and authenticity offered by independent shops and services.

BeyGOOD strives to put an end to the racial wealth gap once and for all. Small steps can make a massive impact, yet Beyonce’s efforts are anything but miniscule. In 2023 alone, the Queen Bee has provided $10K grants for at least 900 small businesses. Wow! Talk about making a real impact.

BeyGOOD supports cosmetology scholarships

The “Yaya” songstress’ foundation supports fabulous persons in the beauty and cosmetology field. Sadly, many cosmetology schools fail to offer specialized training for textured hair, particularly for those of Black and African descent.

When Beyoncé got wind of Jana’s Cosmetology Academy – the first Black-owned beauty school in New Jersey – she surprised them with a generous $50K grant through her BeyGOOD foundation. In 2024, the fund distributed five $10K scholarships to help students achieve their career goals.

Many people give up on their passion for cosmetology due to the high cost of education, putting their dreams on hold. However, with Beyoncé’s help, millions worldwide can live out their long-lived dreams once and for all.

The BeyGOOD foundation is determined to close the racial wealth gap once and for all. If you want to donate – or are interested in applying for a grant – be sure to check out the BeyGOOD’s website and get started ASAP!
