Casey Anthony’s trial had everyone screaming, “WTF” back in 2008. Casey was accused of murdering her toddler, Caylee Anthony, who was only three when she died. Casey went to trial to answer for her death.

In a bizarre twist of fate, the jury found Casey not guilty in 2011. Even though she faced charges of aggravated child abuse, aggravated manslaughter of a child, and first-degree murder, she wasn’t found guilty of any of it.

As of 2025, Casey casually decided to make her way onto TikTok – but she isn’t enjoying a warm welcome from users on the app.

TikTokers HATE That Casey Anthony Has Infiltrated the Platform

Casey popped up on TikTok with a video of herself sitting in the car talking to her camera. Her message? She wants people to see her as a “legal advocate.” Interestingly enough, Casey’s already attracted more than 61.6 thousand followers on the platform. The URL in her bio will take you to her Substack where she shares written content.

So, what exactly is a legal advocate? Usually, someone who goes out of their way to support the rights of people stuck in the legal system. A considerable example would be Kim Kardashian. The SKIMS founder is constantly fighting for the release of inmates with unfair sentences.

Some people use TikTok to go viral with cooking tutorials while others do “Get Ready With Me” makeup videos for fun. Casey has gone the route of legal advocacy, which many people find strange and confusing.

Casey’s comment section is turned off, but her video has already pulled in more than 4.1 million views. BTW, the ratio of engagement she’s receiving isn’t great. Of those 4.1 million views, only 32,200 people liked the three-minute clip of her talking.

TMZ reposted her vid to spread the word that Casey is active on TikTok – and their comment section is in shambles because of it. One person wrote, “Nobody wants to hear from her!”

Another chimed in with, “Girl, you are not Gypsy Rose. The public will not give you a platform.”

A third person added, “How to get away with murder. That’s the vibe I’m getting.”

Overall, it doesn’t seem like many TikTokers are stoked that Casey is trying to create a name for herself on the app. Is it possible everyone will make her so uncomfortable that she’ll delete her account?

Since her comment section is turned off, that’s unlikely. Casey can freely post what she wants without dealing with backlash since there’s no way for criticisms to pour in.

It’s widely believed that Casey murdered her daughter, and that’s the reason so many people are thoroughly disgusted by her. The murder of Caylee is still a hot topic of conversation, 17 years later.

Caylee was reported missing by Casey’s mother, Cindy Anthony. Cindy felt like something was off-kilter after she went a month without seeing her granddaughter anywhere. Police searches began in July 2008, and the bones of Caylee’s body were discovered in December of that year.

Casey didn’t report her daughter missing, which is the first red flag that rubs people the wrong way. When Casey was found not guilty of Caylee’s murder, many folks were utterly stunned by the news.

They felt the evidence was so heavily stacked against Casey that there was no possible way she would get off. Loads of people were left saying, “WTF” at the jury’s ultimate decision. Casey was 22 years old at the time, and some believe her youth pushed the jury to pity her in a way she didn’t deserve.

Are you shocked by Casey’s desire to go viral on TikTok? Because we certainly are.
