Ever since Olivia Rodrigo burst onto the scene with her debut single, “Drivers License,” she’s been our collective muse. The 21-year-old singer-songwriter and actress continues to croon the heartache we didn’t even know we still carried.

But Rodrigo isn’t just your go-to for heartbreak anthems and relatable lyrics that make you ugly cry on a Tuesday night. The former Disney star is also a philanthropic powerhouse. Behind the Grammy trophies, record-breaking tours, and endless TikTok trends lies an artist with a mission to make the world better.

Rodrigo’s unassuming approach to philanthropy distinguishes her work. She’s not about flashy headlines or curated PR moments. Instead, she’s using her voice (both literally and figuratively) to create change in ways that matter.

Fund 4 Good: Olivia Rodrigo’s Philanthropic Powerhouse

At the center of Olivia Rodrigo’s charitable efforts lies Fund 4 Good. The singer launched this initiative in 2023 to coincide with her GUTS World Tour. Through community-based nonprofits, this global philanthropic endeavor is committed to building an equitable and just future for all women and girls.

The fund champions three key areas: girls’ education, reproductive rights, and gender-based violence prevention. As Rodrigo toured the world, she made sure that her philanthropy followed suit, supporting organizations in every region she visited.

Throughout the eight-month trek, which spanned over 60 cities in more than 20 countries, Rodrigo consistently put her money where her mouth is. She announced in December 2024 that she would donate more than $2 million from the tour’s net proceeds to global women’s charities.

This substantial sum is being distributed to 10 organizations worldwide—each champions women’s and girls’ health and equity in their respective regions.

The Philippines Connection

While all of Rodrigo’s philanthropic efforts are noteworthy, her work in the Philippines holds a special place in her heart. As a Filipino-American, Rodrigo’s October 2024 performance at the Philippine Arena was a homecoming of sorts.

“This is such a special milestone for me to not only be visiting the Philippines for the first time but performing here for my fans,” Rodrigo told Billboard. “I’m so proud of my Filipino heritage, so being able to bring this experience to the Philippines means the world to me.”

Rodrigo also brought her philanthropy to the Philippines. In a touching gesture, she donated all the net ticket sales from her Manila concert to Jhpiego, supporting their work in healthcare for women and girls in the Philippines.

Beyond the Tour: Olivia Rodrigo’s Ongoing Commitment

While the GUTS World Tour may have put Rodrigo’s philanthropy in the spotlight, her commitment to giving back isn’t limited to her time on the road. In October 2023, she shared with PEOPLE her ongoing goal to support “women’s issues” and “reproductive healthcare” through Fund 4 Good.

“Its initiative is to raise awareness for certain groups that are championing women’s issues in America and all of the other territories I’m going to,” she explained. “I’m very excited, and I think it’s going to be a very fulfilling and hopefully productive experience.”

This ongoing dedication shows that for Rodrigo, philanthropy isn’t just a tour gimmick—it’s a core part of who she is as an artist and a person. One cause that Rodrigo has been particularly vocal about is reproductive rights.

Her support for this issue dates back to 2022, when she used her platform at England’s Glastonbury Festival to speak out against the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Showcasing both her passion and her fearlessness, Rodrigo dedicated a cover of Lily Allen’s “F**k You” to the five Supreme Court Justices responsible for the repeal—calling them out by name. “I’m devastated and terrified,” she told the audience.

“So many women and so many girls are going to die because of this.” This wasn’t just a one-time statement. Throughout her North American tour stops, Rodrigo partnered with local chapters of the National Network of Abortion Funds, allowing them to set up information booths at her concerts.

Looking to the Future

While the $2 million donation is undoubtedly impressive, the true impact of Rodrigo’s philanthropy goes far beyond the dollar amount. By using her platform to highlight important issues and support grassroots organizations, she’s raising awareness and inspiring her millions of fans to get involved.

Moreover, Rodrigo’s approach to philanthropy—supporting local organizations in each region she visits—ensures that her giving has a direct and meaningful impact on the communities that need it most. As the singer’s career continues to soar, there’s no doubt that her philanthropic efforts will grow alongside it.

With stadium headline shows planned in Brazil and Mexico in 2025, we can expect to see even more charitable initiatives in the future. However, the most exciting aspect of Rodrigo’s philanthropy is the example she’s setting for her generation.

At just 21, she shows that you don’t have to wait to make a difference. Whether it’s speaking out against injustice, supporting important causes, or using your success to lift others up, Olivia Rodrigo is proving that young people have the power to change the world.
